Look Beautiful in Bollywood Bridal Saree

When we say 'Bollywood' what comes to your mind? Undeniably the bold colors, the extravagance and glamor in harmonious outbursts, glitter, vermilion and everything that pleases the eye. Bollywood, as an integral part of young India, is as true to its glorious culture and heritage as the nation itself. When the whole world wants to pursue the west in fashion, cuisine and machine, Bollywood has made its own remarkable identity by enhancing its uniqueness and not just embracing the mad pursuit of Hollywood but fusing them with modern art.

The sole idea of an Indian beauty is not just in 'big-eyes' but also in the traditional attire of elegance - the Indian Saree! The history of saree dates back to the Rig Vedic age and is stated to be the oldest form of 'fashionable' apparels. Saree, is still the oldest attire in existence and an average woman in India wears it every single day. Getting into jeans and shirts surely seems a better option for our lives in the fast lane but when it comes to any festive occasion, a saree is a must wear for any Indian women irrespective of ethnicity, religion or race. A saree is not just another piece of clothing but a lifestyle wear in which lies a whole clothing experience.

Here are five tips to look absolutely gorgeous in Bollywood attires, sarees or any Indian ethnic wear because we know how acknowledged the beauty of it is all around the world - Madonna herself promoting the 'bindis' and Pussycat Dolls wearing Indian ethnic wear on the red carpet. To brief it up, even the western world along with the western stars are getting highly inclined towards this exotic oriental lifestyle.

1. First Things First - Indian apparels speak elegance, sophistication, colors and decency. Make sure the attire fits perfectly and matches your skin tone. Just because its Bollywood doesn't mean you go too loud with it, wear it comfortably to match your personality. It should flatter your body shape. For example, fabrics like chiffon and georgette would compliment pear-shaped bodies, silk would suit the overweight's and net fabrics does justice to voluptuous ones, slim ones look ravishing in cotton and organza.

2. Shoes are as important as the wardrobes are. It is the prime-highlight of Indian panache. The height of the heels determine the draping and the bottoms which completes the look altogether. Since bridals and sarees are extravagant get ups, simple yet elegant heels, glittery golden or silver would do justice to it. Don't forget to have clean and also manicured nails, the difference will be explicit. Do not forget the statement that a woman carries the dress but the shoes carry the women.

3. Accessorize - Accessories add a whole new story to a traditional get-up. Accessorizing in a saree depends on the designs it has. A simple saree can go with any number of accessories but if the saree is fancy enough to do its own talking then one must opt for minimum accessories. Jewelry adds grace to the elegance. Specifically select the best matching ones and effortlessly it will look amazing. There are so many jewelry brands in India promoting the look going with sarees, bridals, lehengas etc. Therefore, it is hardly a hair-splitting problem when it comes to accessorizing, however your sense of style will be reflected upon. Accessorizing isn't just about the gold or diamonds carved in your body. What you 'carry' along with how you carry yourself is also a determining factor to your overall look. Elegant bag or clutches does wonders to complete one's accessory. Nothing casual but plain sophistication is the fashion mantra for sarees, lehengas and bridals.

4. Make-up Bollywood Style - Make up in India is a prioritized ritual. No way can one avoid it in her bridal day. Bollywood's signature look is bold and beautiful. ''Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder'' is taken in the literal sense here amidst the Indian glamour. Bollywood songs about his beloved will find mention about the 'kajal' smeared eyes and it is not just because the look is irresistible but also because it's almost natural to associate Bollywood with beautiful eyes and make up. Black is the basic color to be used in the eyes and blending with colors that matches the outfit is a go-for-it! Glitters and shimmers add another prime-highlight. Using the right shade of foundation and complexion powder to conceal any irregularities is a must. Flawless dusky complexion is a Bollywood stereotype. Lips can vary from nude to pink to red, it's all your call. If you want eyes to be the striking focus you need to go easy on the lips with nude or light pink, the way sisters Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor did on their wedding day. Aishwarya Rai too kept her make-up simple yet she looked stunning in red saree and red lips. Vidhya Balan wore a traditional south Indian red saree by Sabyasachi and accessorized heavily with gold jewellery and sindoor. Irrespective of any exception no-one can go wrong in Indian attires with beautiful make-up.

5. ''The Hair is the Richest Ornament of Women''- Martin Luther couldn't have been more correct because in India it is still considered so. Nice-long hair with a saree is truly a gorgeous fashion statement for Indian women. Long hair is associated with femininity in India. No matter how the feminists take it, long hair is the picturesque beauty of a 'Desi girl'. The one-side parting can be the best hairstyles with saree; the classic bun has also been timeless hairstyles for formal occasions esp. in the Indian weddings. There are many hairstyles to choose from for the traditional look; even straight hair looks boldly beautiful with silk sarees and magnificent curls with bangs look gorgeous. But it is to be noted that bridal hairstyles are incomplete without bridal or bollywood accessories like beads, jewel hair combs, jewel hair pins, maang tika, brooch, flowers, gajra and strands of pearl comprising hair accessories that adds inspirational elegant look.

So here we conclude the five ultimate tips to look amazing in Bollywood bridal sarees. No one can deny how inspiring and classic you will look if you follow the above mentioned tips to compliment your traditional wear. Celebrities like Vidhya Balan, Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor etc have shown superiority of traditional classics over western short dresses. Get the look and mesmerize the crowd... feel golden in the country that is titled "the golden bird"!

Michael Jackson And Bollywood

Michael Jackson's death has left a huge dent in Bollywood. The legendary king of Pop and a performer par excellence inspired numerous actors and musicians the world over, including Bollywood. Be it his trademark fashion sense, his groovy dance steps and his attitude-all of them caught the frenzy of Bollywood.

* People like Mithun Chakraborty and Govinda were the 'desi Michael Jacksons' in the early part of their careers thanks to their dance themed films which had moves that were lifted from MJ's videos. Michael Jackson in a way, had contributed to the career graphs of many Bollywood actors who emulated his style and moves.

* Michael Jackson's visit to Mumbai,in the year 1996 was met with a super reception. None of the international performer in India have been able to replicate and whip up the frenzy which Michael Jackson had created.

* Michael Jackson inspired Bollywood comedian Johnny Lever to create numerous parodies on the musical genius. In fact, Johnny Lever's best act is a take off on 'they don't really care about us' from MJ's album-History

* The video 'Thriller' which has won numerous awards and is easily the best music video ever(without special effects, mind you) inspired quite a few horror scenes and horror sequences in films, both Bollywood and Hollywood. Career Blunders in Bollywood, What Bollywood Actors and Actresses Missed On

Let us look at how rejects of some actors made stars of others!

Pradeep Sarkar was miffed over Vidya Balan having rejected Konkona Sens' role in Laga Chunari Mein Daag. The smart girl stuck to her role in Heyy Babby and rejected LCHD. The verdict was out: Vidya Balan had a cent percent success rate in Bollywood for 2007 with hits like Heyy Babyy and Bhool Bhulaiya . Good for her that she did not do LCMD! Now let us look at some of the career blunders, mistakes that actors and actresses of Bollywood have made. Let us look at the original choices of the hit Bollywood movies which were to star with actors who eventually walked away! Though they may say that bygones and bygones, they cannot refute the fact that these movies would have definitely made them bigger stars if not legends:

Shahrukh Khan: Rejected Lagaan and Munnabhai MBSS. Wonder how bigger he'd have risen if he had been a part of these movies. Unfortunately SRK was busy to allocate time for Lagaan and he was unsure about how the first time Raj Kumar Hirani would direct the film. Shahrukh Khan also rejected the role of flight lieutenant Ajay Rathod because he found that the role did not have sufficient depth and also because of the fact that he did not want to play second fiddle to Aamir Khan in Rang De Basanti. The role eventually went to Madhavan. Imagine how Rang De Basanti would have looked if Aamir, Shahrukh and Hrithik were in the movie! But the most commendable thing is Rang De Basanti still emerged a huge hit and a cult favorite even without star power of Hrithik and SRK.

Aamir Khan: Rejected Darr because he was conscious of the negative image and he was also denied a joint script reading with Sunny Deol. This really turned SRK's career on the upswing as he won the confidence of the Yash Chopra camp. Movies like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Dil Toh Paagal Hai, Mohabbatein and the ilk are the pleasant aftereffects which SRK relished.

Salman Khan: Rejected Baazigar because he thought it wouldn't work. In a humorous dig, Salman Khan has also commented had he starred in Baazigar, he'd also have built Baazigar. Rejected Kal Ho Na Ho(which ultimately went to Saif Ali Khan). Rejected Chak De India. He wanted a high amount of money for Chak De India

Kareena Kapoor: Though she is famous, she'd have got have easily been a top bracket star. Look at the movies that she dropped out of: Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Page 3, Kal Ho Na Ho. All these three movies were written with Kareena Kapoor in the mind but she had other priorities. Kareena Kapoor reportedly told Karan Johar in Koffee with Karan that she regretted missing out on Kal Ho Na Ho. Most of her reasons for not doing these movies were monetary.

Hrithik Roshan: He dropped out of Bunti aur Babli because he was busy with Koi Mil Gaya. He missed out on three good movies: Rang De Basanti, Dil Chahta Hai and Swades. Hrithik Roshan was to do Siddarth's role in Rang De Basanti. But Hrithik wanted to do Aamir's role. Rakesh Roshan on the other hand stated that Hrithik Roshan could not do the role because he was busy doing Krrish. There was another actor who walked out of the role due to creative differences. Read on to know more. Hrithik Roshan was also offered the role of Saif Ali Khan in Dil Chahta Hain which he did not do. Saif's career skyrocketed from Dil Chahta Hai. Hrithik Roshan also could not do Swades because of date problems.

Aishwarya Rai: Aishwarya Rai was the original choice for the movie 'Chalte Chalte' SRK's home production. She had even shot for some scenes. However there was always problems on sets due to intervening of Salman Khan while his then girlfriend Aishwarya Rai would work. There was an instance when Salman pursued Ash all the way to the sets and created a ruckus. SRK did not take this too politely and removed Ash from the movie. In walked Rani Mukherjee as Ash was shown the exit.

Vivek Oberoi: He walked out of Hum Tum because he thought he was worth a lot for the role The film eventually went to Saif Ali Khan. It is Viveik's biggest career regret because Saif Ali Khan got the Filmfare best actor in a comic role and also the National Award for the Best Actor.

Twinkle Khanna: Rejected Kuch Kuch Hota Hai thinking it was a minuscule role. Though the role was small, I am sure it would been impactful than the entire set of sloppy movies the actress did in her career!

Bipasha Basu: She was the original choice for the Dhoom babe, the role which eventually went to Rimmi Sen.

Akshay Kumar: Lost out on a dream debut 'Phool Aur Kaante' which went
